I hate milk also....my Doctor recommends a drink called Isopure zero carb. 160 calories and 40g of protein.....they sell it at GNC or different places online. Alpine punch isn't too bad.

I don't like fruity drinks so I'm not sure which ones are good but I know a bunch of the Protein Drink makers have fruit Protein drinks that are clear, not milky. Unjury also makes a chicken broth Protein Powder which is really yummy. It's like a protein "shake" in Soup form.

The Isopure Zero Carb flavors mix fairly well with Water. I'm not a huge milk fan, but I did like using almond milk instead of dairy milk. less calories, less carbs. Also I found fat free yogurt, and puddings were a great subsitute when mixed in with some water. Just be careful and watch the calories/fat/carbs you are adding into the shakes.< /p>

Thanks for the info, i can handle yogurt and the cottage cheese i will be able to have i just worry about the actual Protein shakes..LOL i can drink a Arby's Milkshake but i think thats why i am where i am... I will swing by GNC today and see the Isopure i see they have pre-mixed in a bottle to drink, i will see the facts and see if it matches the EAS shakes they told me to try and drink during those 2wks

I've tried the Jay Robb Protein Shakes. You can mix with Water, milk, almond milk, yogurt, etc. You can buy it at Kroger or online.

I've also tried the Lean line of products at GNC. They are good too.

I have heard that they have Protein powders that are Unflavored. I plan on trying those in Soups and drinks! Let me know what you find because I am not much of a chocolate, vanilla, strawberry type girl!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
