anewlife10 0 Posted November 4, 2010 My job brought in Q-Doba for my department for lunch today.... my favorite!! I feel like I cheated, but didn't go too overboard. I took two spoonfuls of chicken and about 2 tsp of guacamole, and a drizzle of queso.... i was strong enough to avoid the tortillas, taco shells, chips, salsas, sour cream and shredded cheese.... but i still feel guilty, I wish I didn't do it.... I should have stuck to my yogurt ~ I was doing so well until now.
LapBandBobbi 8 Posted November 4, 2010 Don't beat yourself up over it. That's part of everyday life. Just be sensible - like you were.
bayareanan 24 Posted November 4, 2010 You made wise choices especially with the temptations. chicken is usually grilled and the avocados are healthy fat. No need to beat yourself up at all.
futurelookinghealthy 0 Posted November 4, 2010 Don't get too upset about it. You know what they say, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again. LOL Good Luck
CaraRose 0 Posted November 4, 2010 You made a good choice, you were sociable and chose wisely....you did what any of us probably would have done. This is a lifestyle change, it is not about giving up every bad thing for you, its more about everything in moderation.
anewlife10 0 Posted November 4, 2010 I do feel like I could have definitely done worse, especially with the brownies and Cookies staring me in my face too. LOL. But I could have made an excuse and avoided it all together. The other thing is that all my co-workers now keep asking me if I am ok. Only my boss & supervisor know. I think I wouldnt have felt so bad if I were a little further out... I'm at 2 weeks today.
trishfish 1 Posted November 4, 2010 don't beat yourself up! I actually eat @ qudoba once evry couple weeks....they have some good/decent choices. go to qudoba.com and look at what you ate....you'll be surprised
BetsyB 9 Posted November 4, 2010 It sounds like you did really well to me.
beernut 0 Posted November 4, 2010 That would have been a healthy choice for anyone so don't get too upset. I go and get Mexican w/ my 4 yr old (who's nuts about cruncy shelled tacos) once a week and eat one taco. It's yummy and not too bad of an indulgence so I feel comfortable doing it. Good job on not going for the chips!!
AmandaGW 1 Posted November 4, 2010 DUDE! You did awesome! I would have caved! Don't feel guilty...as someone stated above, this is a lifestyle shift. Do the best you can with what you've got. Don't beat yourself up. Pat yourself on the back.
TKW 501 Posted November 4, 2010 Oof dah.... you should have seen what I did to the Halloween candy Bowl! You did great, I think you demonstrated a great deal of self control! Good Job! (damn Peanutbutter Cups) But I'm back on track!!
Angera 2 Posted November 4, 2010 Same thing happened to me last week. We had a luncheon with a pharmaceutical company we were starting up a new project with. Our administrative assistant ordered Italian food. A huge pan of Pasta loaded with alfredo garlic sauce, italian bread, brownies, and salad. I picked out the chicken from the Pasta and had some salad. I was so sad though, they rarely order Italian and when it was my project assignment.........BAM pasta! You did great though, you avoided all the bad stuff :frown:
