It tastes great on toast with a poached egg or with grilled cheese or whatever. And it's not really exclusively Aussie. In the UK and South Africa they have Marmite which is basically the same but made by a different manufacturer. Now being a Brit I have never understood the Peanut Butter thing. So it all depends what you are brought up on. Yeah, if I ever HAVE to eat vegemite, I always put in on thinly. I wasn't raised on vegemite, I ate promite more as a kid. I loveee Promite with a boiled egg or cheese. Mmmm. Everyone I know who loves vegemite has been eating it since they were kids, or they enjoy salty foods. Not me!
