female only Sex Drive

So my husband and I both got banded about 5 weeks ago. Pre-surgery to say I had a strong sex drive would be putting it mildly. However, since surgery I just don't really care so much. Has anyone else experienced this? Are my hormones out of whack from the sudden weightloss?

It very well could be hormonal. Fat makes a type of estrogen and as you lose weight, your estrogen levels will be unsteady until your ovaries start taking back over.

And really, although you're probably feeling pretty good by now, it often takes a minimum of 6 weeks to really get over surgery and there can be slight reactions to surgery for much longer.

Give it some more time, make a date for you & hubby one weekend. If you can swing it, rent a hotel room, etc. I'll bet you'll be back at normal or even better before too much longer.

If it doesn't get better .. consult your Gyn. They may be able to offer some suggestions.

Don't forget you just had major surgery. That alone messes with your hormonal balance, not to mention all the worries and hopes for your future success you have swimming around in your head I can relate to having a high-drive The doc said wait 3 weeks after surgery. I waited 2... and everything was ok.. just had to go slow and steady, and no crazy positions
