ASM 4 Posted November 2, 2010 today I made every mistake. I ate leftover steak at lunch, while playing with my grandson, ate too much too fast and didn't chew well enough. That was at lunch it is now almost 8pm and I still hurt. I threw up but I ended up not going back to work and spent the afternoon in my recliner but it still hurts. I tried some sugar free icecream in the hope cold would help. I can drink, I can eat Jello, so it must not be stuck anymore, but the pain is bad right through to my back. Any suggestions on what might help? Oh, I haven't had my first fill yet (that is Nov 9) but I seem to have good restriction anyway. I have been getting about 700 or so calories and lots of Protein and Water.< /p>

Cleo's Mom 257 Posted November 2, 2010 Try sipping some warm tea. Cold things might cause it to constrict more. Something hot should cause it to relax. Try liquids for a day or so, too. Until the pain goes away. Maybe some liquid tylenol would help with the pain and possible swelling. Hope you feel better. I know the pain of being stuck. I went to the ER and spent the night in the hospital after being stuck. Getting shot in the stomach couldn't have been more painful.
trishfish 1 Posted November 2, 2010 the vagal (sp?) nerve may still be irritated due to the swelling that happens after a stuck episode....thats why your back may hurt. hope you feel better soon! I agree with the PP about liquids for 24 hours....thats what my doctor always suggests.
ASM 4 Posted November 2, 2010 Thanks, everybody. I tried tylenol and a warm drink, and it is better. I will try liquids for the next few days. I have learned my lesson, nothing as distracting as my 5 month old grandson while I eat!
