Reduced fill feeling after overfilled feeling?

Recommended Posts

I can't find my last post but I just wanted to thank everyone for their support.

I saw my surgeons yesterday and they took me down another .75ccs to 4ccs.

I actually ate dinner with vegetables(over-cooked) last night and had no discomfort or vomiting.

It felt like heaven!

I lost 4 pounds last week because about all I could keep down were liquids.< /p>

Now, of course, I'm paranoid because I don't feel restriction, as far as I can tell.

I'm so used to being uncomfortable that it may be a bit hard to gage at first.

Still, I'll see how I do this week and if it's too loose I guess I'll go back and have them add more next week.

I will measure my food and see how my hunger level is and keep track of my caloric intake.

Just curious how others have dealt with this issue.

I feel free and scared at the same time.

Kind of a metaphor for life when things work out well!!!:sneaky:

I had the same response when I had my fill removed, but had to have all removed before I could eat/drink. Feel good that you still have something in there. It does feel great to loose quickly, but knowing that you did it because you couldn't eat anything is not good. My husband became upset because I had reflux all night, too!

Thanks,

I've been very fortunate not to have reflux.

That must be just awful!

I am feeling lucky that I didn't have it all out.

Guess I'll just have to trust my body to know what the right amount of restriction feels like.:sneaky:

Oh this gives me hope!

I've been feeling too scared to eat because I keep feeling the need to throw it all up so the pain stops

I'll be sure to get an unfill this week and hopefully I can start eating again

Definitely give it a go!

After 3 days at the lower fill level, I'm starting to feel more confident about eating.

I noticed some restriction this morning and a little tonight with vegetables that were not soft enough.

I was reassured to know that there is some restriction there and that i can eat small portions and be satisfied.

Just sad that i went all this time too tight, miserable and not really losing weight. Oh well, live and learn I guess...

I was too tight for months and months but was to scared to have some taken out. My friend who is also banded said if I did not go she was going to take me there. They took only .2 ccs and it made all the difference. I had been getting stuck every meal and vomiting everyday, but was still scared to have some taken out. Trust me if you are too tight that is no way to live get a small amount taken out you will not gain weight . . you will be able to eat without throwing up or getting stuck every bite.

I just went through that two three weeks ago I had to have all of it removed because I could not eat and I could not even drink a Protein Shake it was not fun. Once it was removed it felt much better but I can not wait to go back and have some put back because I do see where I am hungry more and I dont want to gain what I already lost.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
