PUG MAMA 1 Posted October 24, 2010 Hi, I'm new will be banded on Nov. 15. Does anyone know the stats on excercising. Specifically, running and sit-ups, and also weight lifting. I have a very physical job and need to know when I can start to do these things safely. Any comments or advice. Thank You...
rockstar 0 Posted October 24, 2010 Only your surgeon can clear you for any physical activity as all surgeons are different. At my one week post-op appointment I was cleared for more walking, recumbent bikes, and no lifting over 25lbs. That was about the extent of it though for me. PUG MAMA 1 Posted October 24, 2010 Thanks for the input. I have heard that as well I just wanted to know what you all experienced in that dept. Thank you
LaurenKauf 0 Posted October 24, 2010 I was cleared for all exercise at my 6 week post op appointment. It all depends on your healing and your surgeons recommendations.
Mommyto1 1 Posted October 24, 2010 I was banded on October 15 and at my appointment on October 4, my doctor said I could start doing the treadmill and exercise bike whenever I felt up to it.
PUG MAMA 1 Posted October 24, 2010 How are you feeling after your surgery? Does it hurt to walk fast or strech? Thanks
