Jenna12566 0 Posted October 22, 2010 I am now 28 weeks pregnant and have the strangest symptom. I have a strong hiccup -yes a hiccup :w00t: (much more often after I eat) I get it every 1/2 hour or so and out of no where. It's been about a week now and coming more often that it's annoying. I get it all hours of the night and day. I had a .5cc taken out when I was 8 weeks and seem to be fine. I'm wondering if I need to take a little more out. Has this happened to anyone. I called my doc's office but they're gone for the day. Thanks for any feedback!
vickielizabeth57 0 Posted October 27, 2010 Well, I'm not pregnant, but I get this hiccup too. I had it before the lap band and it's gotten worse and more often, but since getting anxiety medication it has gone away. Not sure if this helps, but maybe the stress of a baby is causing it, I'm sure it's nothing to be too worried about.
Bethanyblondie 0 Posted November 1, 2010 This could be from the baby growing and everything pushing up into your diaphragm, and it can spasm which causes the hiccup. I wouldn't worry about it!
comatwins 0 Posted January 6, 2011 Before I was banded I was pregnant twice and each time experienced that one weird single but strong hiccup. When I got pregnant the second time, that strange hiccup was one of the symptoms that lead me to take a pregnancy test. So, no answers as to why here, but I can totally relate and just tell you that my husband and I eventually found them funny. He used to say it was the babies' way of talking to us.
