beckyrlnd 2 Posted October 22, 2010 I am a newbie and have been very inspired and informed from this website. I too am getting ready to take on the journey with the Lap-Band. I have done all my intitial testing and meetings. I go next week to meet with the bariatric Dr to discuss pre-op information. All my information is being turned over to the insurance and i hope it will be a quick process. I just wanted to say thanks for all that post because it really prepares you for you post op days. I do know from what i read is to make sure you have liquid gas drops and walk as much as possible. I am really excited about this adventure into becoming a new me. Thanks again for all the great information.:w00t:
sprinkles 0 Posted October 22, 2010 I am from MS as well. I was banded on July 29th and as of September 14th had lost 42 pounds. I don't weigh myself at home and won't go back to the doctor until November 9th, so I am anxious to see if I have lost any additional weight. :w00t: I definitely know I have lost inches, so I am happy with that! Hopefully you will be approved quickly. I don't regret this surgery at all; the best thing I ever did for myself!! It is good to see someone else from MS!
