StephanieRaye 0 Posted December 18, 2005 As far as eating and drinking at the same time? I see a lot of you eat Cereal, and it's on my doctor's suggested list of okay foods... but I'm a little confused about it.
dylansmom 27 Posted December 18, 2005 It always confused me too. But if I want cereal, I just go ahead and eat it anyway. LOL
Iluvharleys 15 Posted December 18, 2005 A lot of people just eat the cereal, no milk. Some people put just enough milk on it to wet it, then some people drink off the milk and eat the cereal last.
Alexandra 55 Posted December 18, 2005 Cereal is bulky enough, it seems to me, that even the milk we eat with it is not going to wash it through. And since that's the only reason not to drink while eating it's just not an issue.
La_madam 20 Posted December 18, 2005 The only thing cereal does for me is make me hungrier. It is full of carbs and for me carbs just crave more carbs so I stay away from it all together otherwise I'm starving all day. I start my day woth strictly Protein , it keeps my hunger at bay most of the day.
NJChick 3 Posted December 18, 2005 Yeah its kinda weird but I'm glad its okay to eat. I'm eating Kashi's Good Friends cereal for the Fiber
chichigirl 1 Posted December 19, 2005 Just make sure you chose a whole grain cereal, like Cheerios, Kashi, oatmeal, or any of the Chex cereals or shredded wheat. They have a fair amount of fiber, some more than others and you can always unjury Protein powder to it to add more Protein to it. Whole grains are okay in moderation, nutrionally they provide a good balance. Of course milk also adds protien, but try to use skim or at most 1%, try to stay away from the full fat version if possible. Cindy
JCJSTL 0 Posted December 21, 2005 When eating cereal I use a couple spoonfuls of light yogurt inplace of the milk and I can tell the difference in how fast it fills me up. I like it actaully better than I did with milk
