summer134 23 Posted October 19, 2010 I'm two months post-surgery and down a total of 36 pounds (including liquid diet). I've been doing fairly well but the last couple weeks, the weight is slowly creeping back on. I've had two fills and have my third tomorrow but feel like I'm still eating too much. Not NEARLY as much as I used to, but still too much in my mind for having a band. I'm hoping that I just haven't found the "sweet spot" yet. My thoughts are that when I get there, I physically won't be able to eat more. Am I thinking right? Just getting nervous that I'm starting to make some poor decisions regarding the amount of food and I don't want this to be another failed diet. Guess I'm just needing a little reassurance today as I'm worried about going in having put on weight to my doctor tomorrow. vlp1968 83 Posted October 19, 2010 If your doctor is a good one he will understand. Some people to gain weight until they have restriction. It will get better once you get there. shelyshely 0 Posted October 19, 2010 I'm in the same boat Summer, I am 3-months in this weekend and I've starting gaining weight. I didn't have to do a pre-op diet so I haven't lost much at all. I was down 15lbs but I've gained 4 back this week. I'm getting worried, I try to control my eating but sometimes those old habits creep back in. I don't go back for a fill until Dec 1st. I'm really getting worried about my self control. Let us know how things go for you after your fill, I hope this is the one that will do it for you. Third times the charm, isn't that what they say. elcee 3,341 Posted October 19, 2010 It depends on what you are eating.If you are eating sliders such as milkshake,soup,icecream,chocolate,popcorn,crackers etc then your band will have no effect on how much you eat - now or with further fills.
