Melissannde 41 Posted October 14, 2010 One of my nurses said that popcorn is considered a "soft" or slider food. In general, not recommended as something that will keep you full. Are you getting stuck on it?
starsinmyeyes 29 Posted October 14, 2010 Wow, I am 10 weeks post-op and I have been scared to even try popcorn. But, it sounds like people are doing ok with it soooo...maybe a movie and popcorn are in my future

nomorejellybelly 77 Posted October 14, 2010 I've had this question also. We have popcorn Day every Thursday at my office and I haven't tried it yet, since getting the band in early September. Will try it tomorrow!
ebeeze824 1 Posted October 14, 2010 i tried some this evening and it was good no complications but i do remember the dietician saying it was a slider food. I was just wondering how people are doing with it
elcee 3,341 Posted October 14, 2010 The only problem I had was that it went down far too easily. It is definitely a slider food.< /p>
ElfiePoo 109 Posted October 14, 2010 It's a slider food. It breaks down very quickly...even if you don't chew well. .
LoserHeather37 5 Posted October 14, 2010 popcorn may be a slider food, but it is also a whole grain. Let's not forget that.
TracyNYC 4 Posted October 14, 2010 Goes down too well. Only have it if I go to a movie and then I get a kids meal. Small popcorn, Water or iced tea. and I choose the trail mix instead of candy. $12 for a ticket, $7 for the snack! UGH
Herraven 0 Posted October 14, 2010 This is great news to me. I've been scared to try it. My husband has been wanting to go to a movie, but I've just been avoiding the whole thing. Now I can go get a kids portion and enjoy. We use to go every week to every other week. I think I will surprise hubby with a trip to the movies this weekend.
