I am 4 1/2 weeks post op and continue to have a very uncomfortable feeling created by my bra underwire on my left side, has anyone else experienced this?

YES!! My under wire sits just above the port and irritates it alot! I've taken to wearing non-wired bras most of the time.

My port is much lower than this area (it is to the left of my belly button) I was thinking maybe the underwire is actually putting pressure on the band itself?? I have an appointment for my first fill in 2 weeks, so I will ask about it then. :puke:

I always take my underwires out, is this an option for you?

My highest incision is about 1" lower than the underwire on my bra, but I did buy two BALI wirefree bras for right after surgery...and they have some support so you're not drooping.

I haven't been able to wear an underwire in YEARS because I was so overweight when I sat down it just dug into me. I swear by this just my size bra, JMS Delustered Wirefree Bra - Plus Size Clothing, Bras, Swimwear & more from Just My Size | JMS !! ... good support, and really comfortable.

I'm actually wearing underwire bras again after losing 40 lbs! But not everyday... still love my JMS most of the time

Ugh, I hate underwire bras.

It is sometimes hard to find a cute-ish but supportive non-underwire, but it's possible. I also tend to wear sturdy tanks with built-in bras under my clothes to "smooth things out", so you might try that too if your bras are too irritating (and yes, I have large breasts, though they are getting smaller all the time now).

I always take the wire out too, snip tiny hole and pull it out :puke:
