I was wondering if anyone has tried the Unjury shakes and how they were. I tried the syntac nector but I did not like it..maybe I made it wrong. I am having a hard time finding a shake I like.

I use only Unjury as it was recommended to me by another bandster and I have recommended it to others to also like it. I have tried all their flavors. Before being banded, I mixed strawberry with Crystal lite lemonade and the unflavored with other flavors but once banded I started mixing a banana, 1/2 cup Water, scoop of strawberry unjury, or chocolate, or vanilla and mix in my blender and then add ice to make it thicker. I also mix coffee, with chocolate or vanilla, ice and do them same with that. Use Silk lowfat milk or skim milk, SF pudding, unjury whatever flavor you might think will go with the pudding and ice. I even use the 80 calorie yogurt doing the same thing. If you want it hot, then you have to watch out as nothing you mix it with can be more than 130 degrees. I haven't actually tried it just mixed with milk but have with hot coffee. Also used SF Swiss Miss hot chocolate and mixed a scoop of chocolate in it making it a double chocolate. Unjury does have recipes on their sight. Will definitely say their new chocolate taste like hot chocolate. I also need to add that I only drink a shake for Breakfast, but since it isn't holding me will probably go back to Crystal lite and the Protein powder and eat a form of a solid Breakfast. Before investing a great deal you might try the Unjury packets first but think you will like the taste and how it mixes. Hope this helps.

What did you mix the Syntrax with? I find it's too weak in flavor using Water.

I have to use Powerade zero or crystal lite or something to give it more flavor.

I have tried Unjury and highly recommend the chocolate or chocolate splendor. Did not like the strawberry at all.

I have used the chocolate and vanilla with milk. I have used the chicken Soup. I have used the unflavored in blended soup to increase the Protein content. I like them. Just be careful when adding them to hot liquids because they will clump.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
