This probably sounds like a reeeeally stupid question--so sorry...

I usually just have a Protein Shake for Breakfast everyday because it's easy. I've heard that a lot of people are drinking Protein Shakes in between meals if they're hungry. If so, how many Protein Drinks do you have a day? I've never done this, but if it's "ok," I really want to start so I'm not "starving" until the next meal...

My doctor frowns on Protein Shakes once you've moved on to solid food. I do on occation have a Premier Protein shake (30 g Protein 160 calories) prior to going to the gym since the time between lunch and dinner is long and I exercise in between. One thing to consider is perhaps having a small (1-2 oz) of chicken breast as a snack. That might actually stay with you longer than a shake.

I usually have the same Premier Protein shake for breakfast every morning. It holds me over to lunch time.

I guess my problem is with portions, still. I just had my 4th fill on 10/1 and I'm now at 7cc in my 10cc band. I think I'm really close to my sweet spot, but I still feel like I have to watch my portions so I don't overeat. Sometimes, after my 1/2 cup meal, I might still be hungry, which boggles my mind.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
