Oh, man, I am SO verklempt!! If my DH had known it was even possible to get married on the bridge, well, I think things would have been a little different on our wedding day.

Best of everything to you and your bride, Jonathan! Your rings are beautiful, and may all things wonderful come your way today, tomorrow, and every day from this day forward. Live long and prosper indeed!! :D

Yes - I know what Tribbles are. One of the very best episodes EVER. And I KNOW my Star Trek.

Jonathan - I have to admit, that's pretty geeky, but in a very nice, sweet sort of way. She's not going to dress like one of Kirk's Yomen (sp?) is she?

Cap'n Jack - help me out here with the spelling.

Jonathan,

Do you know the guys in Austin that did Starship Exeter? I know they used a studio in Austin, and the one producer/actor is also from there.

If you think you are a trek geek, check out my Starship Farragut website listed in my signature.

No one is Trek geekier than me... I'm acting, writing and producing a Trek fan film.

Now that's geeky.

I remarried my ex-wife once -- I'm not sailing on that ship again. This is someone different. =) We haven't been seeing each other too long (6 months), but it's long enough to know that it's right, and will be forever. (Or, at least, until one of us dies. :) )

Congrats Jonathon i got married Dec.23rd last year after knowing my husband for less than a month, and we are still happy. Good luck living happily ever after.

Wow! If I had known that you could get married on the bridge of the Enterprise, things might have been different on MY wedding day, too! Congrats Jonathan!

Peace and long life.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
