How long were you on pain meds?

I took my pain meds the day after surgery- once during the day and then at night before bed. The next day I didn't need it during the day but took it again before bed and that was about it. My surgery was on a Wed. afternoon and I was driving by Friday afternoon. I went back to work on Monday.

I cannot believe they gave you pills .. Iwas given liquid and I had it refilled once.

I ended up in the hospital for 3 days post-op bcuz my stomach was swollen shut at the band site. I was on IV fluids until the swelling went down enough for me to orally take in fluids. I also had quite a bit of abdominal/muscle pain from the port site and was given pain meds intervenously. But on day 3 I went home feeling great with no pain meds, I think I took extra strength Tylenol once or twice in the very beginning but that was it. :thumbup:
