KAS1971 0 Posted October 5, 2010 This sounds weird but I am 3 weeks post op and I almost feel like my stomach is now in my back. I am used to feeling hungry and that real full feeling as a stomach discomfort. Now it is feeling more like a back discomfort. When I take a too big a bit, dont chew enough etc.. I feel it in my back. I mentioned it to the nutritionist today (who has never had a lap band) and she had never heard of such a thing. Am I alone in this? minni 0 Posted October 6, 2010 I was banded in Feb. and I have been experiencing the same thing! I have talked to everyone about it and have had several tests that come back normal. My NP tells me that she will find out what the problem is but nothing yet.

I feel it in my back. I mentioned it to the nutritionist today (who has never had a LAP-BAND®) and she had never heard of such a thing. Am I alone in this? I know what you are talking about! I had the same exact pain. It went away on its own at about 5 weeks out. It was really bad pain in my back that almost felt like my band was around my spine or that my band was pushing on nerves in my back. It also felt like the weirdest and strongest hunger pains I have ever felt. This pain would wake me up at night. Once I started eating "normal" foods, it went away. Just remember to eat very slowly and chew really good. I hope this goes away soon for you!
