I dont know that I walk any different, I find sleeping on my side hard, my knees are too bony and they hurt! I certainly sleep more comfortably.

I still overestimate the amount of space I take up and think I wont fit in places I fit easily too.

Yep, I have lost a lot of inches after losing 67lbs and I am still having a hard time figuring out my walk. After I stand up it takes me a min or two to adjust. As a matter of fact, I went out on a date and after standing up from the table I started to walk and he said "are you drunk" oh my I was so embarrassed considering that I don't even drink!!! I'm still scared I won't fit in booths at resturants and and the seats at the movies. When I get in my sister's eclipse I wonder is the seatbelt going to fit? I am wondering how I am going to think when I lose the rest of my weight!!!! After I had a breast reduction several years ago, it took me almost a year to adjust to not being able to put my Cereal bowl on my chest!!! LMBO!!! I was like how am I going to eat my cereal now!!! Uggg! It finally clicked to use a table like normal people or sit it in my lap if I am sitting on the couch!:)

I have turned into the Princess and the Pea---every little wrinkle in the bed linens or nightgown is like a boulder to me!

I do walk differently--but it's more a measure of confidence than loss, I think. Well, except for the speed. I walk a lot faster than I used to walk!

I think I move very differently, in general. Again, it's indicative of feeling better about myself more than because my body is so different--though good posture is certainly easier to maintain when you don't have the pull of gravity on pounds of flesh.

But my bones---well, ow. I have a bunch of orthopedic issues anyway, and while my joints are tremendously happy with the loss, not everything is. The bony prominences really can be pretty painful.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
