female only TOM on Surgery Date????????????/

UGH!!! So unfortunatly I think my "friend" is gonna be with me on my surgery date. Im worried that the bloat will make things more difficult after surgery etc..anyone else go thru this? how bad was it???

It was my time of month on my surger day last Tuesday, the 28th and it wasn't an issue for the surgery itself or afterwards. I'll be honest I'm someone who prefers to use tampons and I thought I'd have an issue by not being able to bend to put the in or out and just have more pain in general but I didn't have any problems. I was up and moving about an hour after my surgery and once I was home I was walking around as much as possible to help move along the healing process. Now, a week later I'm back to doing my day to day things and I'll be returning to school tomorrow and then work two weeks (they require me to wait longer because I do personal care which consists of lifting heavy weights, including people) after that. I'm sure this is a longer post then neccessary but better safe then sorry. I'm sure you'll be just fine, best of luck to you!

I dont know if it was more difficult or not. I dont think it was. I did end up bleeding quite a bit and at 7 days post op Im still going but not as much.
