lucky! that sounds like fun to me!

Hi OCButterfly !

Its OK. To tell you the truth I like it because it pays me more then its worth plus I have extremely GREAT Health benefits EXCEPT it doesn't have bariatric benefits. I had to pay for my $16,000 REALIZE Band myself. :smile2:

 whhhaaaaaattt!?!?? goodness! well that's unfortunate and highly unexpected :)

i'm sure it'll be a well worth investment :(

i have heard that's it's a good industry to go to because it pays well but it can be difficult to break into. i was taking classes for music production at one point in my educational exp. and my Prof. had been a film editor as well as a music producer. for a project we had to go ahead and edit a radio commercial and also a film scene. to be quite honest, i thought my intentions were good for the film scene but i missed the mark  but it was loads of fun and kind of frustrating because you want to set a certain mood for the scene with the music and effects that are to be placed in it.

i'm not sure if that's the element you work in post production but it all seems fun to me

all i know is i appreciate movies and music a heck of alot more because i got a taste of all the work that goes into it.

I live in Las Vegas, NV and I'm a Financial Systems Support Analyst for a consulting company. I'm a 'telecommuter' and work from home. It's nice, but it would also be nice to go into an office and have real conversations with people face to face. Pretty much all my communication is done via e-mail, IM or phone.

Other than that, 33, married to my HS sweetheart and have two insanely crazy active boys (9 and 5).

I live in Hitchcock, Texas and I have done Graphics for 25 years. Wow there are a lot of nurses on here. My daughter-in-law is a nurse and I agree nurses are so busy caring for others that they don't have time to take care of themselves.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
