Francesca 5 Posted December 14, 2005 as everyone knows my band was removed due to erosion on 11/28. I know that my band is not there but it sure feels like it is.... This is weird! I have PBed everyday for a week and I can only eat a small amount. I have also lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks.. I have not lost any weight in months... My band is gone, now I am losing weight... what is up with that? Am I just loosing my mind?
tizag 0 Posted December 14, 2005 Hi Francesca, My band was removed on Dec 1st and I also feel like it is still there! I can only eat small amounts and I get full very quickly. I also don't wake up insanely hungry like I did before I had the band. Also, when I eat a bit fast, I get all these gurgling noises, just like when I ate too fast with the band. Weird, huh? Maybe we are both losing our minds.

Bensmum1109 0 Posted December 14, 2005 La Madam said her surgeon told her she would have scar tissue build up from the band that would make her feel like she still had a band. Maybe you have the same thing?
DeLarla 22 Posted December 14, 2005 I'm pretty sure Donali said she still feels restriction from time to time. So why not patent your new weight loss surgery idea? Instead of banding, just attach scar tissue to the top of our belly. I miss you! But for real, when people have arms or legs removed, they still feel the phantom for a period of time. You probably have a combo of both phantom plus the scar tissue. Plus your belly is healing now. Just keep up the good work, Miss Boop.

paula 4 Posted December 15, 2005 Francesca, As sick as this sounds, I was actually *relieved* when I read this post. With the fear of band removel - its nice to know we have scar tissue/phantom band to help us continue this journey. Band removel doesnt seem so scarey now. glad you are on the mend.
