Hello, new here from NC

Hi everyone - I'm a newbie and so glad I found you guys. This seems like a friendly and informative forum, so I'm happy to be here reading all the posts I can. I am scheduled for surgery next Wednesday, Oct 6th. Can't wait to begin my journey to a healthy life! I'm a mom to two boys (ages 7 and 11) and a wife to a loving husband for 16 years. I am so lucky to have the support of my entire family (my parents, my in-laws, etc.) I've been on the pre-op liquid diet now for 10 days, only a week to go! That part has not been easy, but truly after the first couple of days I've gotten used to it. I must admit I have plenty of time for errands on my lunch hour now - kicking back a shake takes no time at all! I believe that a positive attitude will increase my results, so I'm smiling all the way. Thanks in advance for helping me along - I'm sure I'll have many questions for you "seasoned bandsters". Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover any type of bariatric procedure, so I'm self pay. But, I'm looking at it as an investment!!
