CSE 0 Posted September 29, 2010 Tomorrow is the big day! I can't believe I am actually doing this! I am so excited but nervous about the procedure tomorrow. My surgery is at 10:30. I am hoping to be discharged tomorrow late afternoon so I don't have to stay over night. We'll see. I can't wait to move on to the next stage. This liquid diet is getting really DULL! I am happy to be down about 20 lbs. from my starting weight going into surgery. Only 125 to go! Christine

CSE 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Well... I am happy to report that things went great yesterday and I am home resting comfortably. I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was up and moving after surgery. My procedure started at 1:15 and I was discharged at 5:30.The hardest part was waiting since I was supposed to be operated in at 10:30! I feel good but just a little achy today. I hope everyone's banding goes as smoothly as mine  Thanks again for your well wishes. Christine

ladybug on a mission 0 Posted September 30, 2010 So glad to hear all went well! I can not wait to follow your journey! I am right behind you - being banded on 10/8! If you have any words of wisdom to share, I would love to hear! HUGS
CSE 0 Posted September 30, 2010 Hi Ladybug, My advice to you would be to try to get up and walk around as soon as you can after surgery. It really seemed to help me. Best wishes to you on your surgery. I will be thinking of you on 10/8. I am excited to find others who will be banded around the same time as me so we can track our progress together. How is your pre-op diet going? Christine
ladybug on a mission 0 Posted September 30, 2010 So far, so good! I am really surprised that I am not hungry! And even though I am not banded yet, I had the best NSV on Monday. I had an extremely stressful day and that is when I usually turn to food, but I didn't!!! I was so proud of myself! Take care and keep updating!
