HELP! Am I too tight?

Recommended Posts

I went in for my first fill yesterday, and they did it under fluoroscopy. I got 5cc in a 14cc band, but now it seems that every time I eat, I'm nauseated for about 30 minutes afterward. Is that normal?!?! I haven't thrown up or PB'd, but I feel like I could after I eat. Has anyone else experienced that?

You didn't mention what you're eating. If you were filled yesterday, I'd suggest you stick with liquids for the first 24 hours (this is what I've been told and have done); then after 24 hours add mushies and not introduce solids until the 3rd or 4th day especially after such a significant fill.

Hang in there. As long as you can get liquids down you should be fine. Remember there's some swelling after fills and you need to give it time to heal.

I hope this helps.

I have had 3 fills so far and after everyone of them I am nauseous and usually have diarreha. It usually lasts like 1 or 2 days and then I am fine. I would give it a few days and see if your feeling better.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
