7CC's in a 10CC LapBand

Recommended Posts

I had my second fill yesterday and I was told I had a total of 7cc in a 10cc LAP-BAND®. I'm a little freaked out because i've seen most people find their sweet spot to be around 5 or 6 cc's. Does any one else out there has 7cc's or more on their 10 cc band? If so, at what point did you find your sweet spot?

I think this fill is good for now I just got it yesterday. It's my second by the way.

I'm getting a little frustrated and I'm not sure if the bad is simply not working like it should for me as for everyone else as I have only lost 22 lbs since May 26, 2010.

I know I should be patient and 22 lbs is a lot to have lost compared to nothing without the band but I see so many of you being successful and losing 3 time the amount I have in 2 months. I'm almost 4 months post op. Please help!

I have 7.2 cc in my 10 cc band. I really didn't start losing a lot until I started getting more restriction. It took about a week after the fill for me to really feel a difference. I think I am now at my sweet spot.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
