Posture problems?

Recommended Posts

Is anyone having posture problems since their lapband? I have lost 50lbs in four months and my breasts have not decreased at all and now they are starting to cause severe back aches and the doctor said it might be from my breasts being to big? Am I the only weird case out there?

Well no breasts for me, but, my chiro said this would happen. All these years our body adjusted to carrying weight, now our bodies have to re-adjust to less weight. He warned me before the surgery I would have some dicomfort.

I am now 100 lbs down - and I noticed my posture issue at around 45 lbs or so down....it got worse, but I found that wearing my Body Magic really helps as it corrects my posture and supports my back. (all the while reshaping my figure) It has definately helped me a lot....even when I am not wearing it I naturally have better posture now.

It's a fabulous garment that has literally changed my life...sounds so cheesy and I definately wouldn't have believed it until I tried it. I had lost about 75 lbs when I heard about them and I started researching them online - they are made by Ardyss International...as I am in kansas there aren't any distributors here to buy from. (well there weren't then anyway!) The garment literally reshapes your body while correcting your posture and supporting your back...so it is good for skinny folks with back troubles, too. LOL

They way they explain it is that fat is like Jello in a mold - so by wearing this at least 4 hrs a day 5 days a week your body will begin to mold to the shape....and I have found the compression on my torso helps to support my back and posture while sitting at a desk all day, as well as makes me not hungry. My hubby wears the mens tank and said when he has it on he isn't hungry - so the compression definately has something to do with that even for folks without a lapband. Anyhow -- I started wearing mine in march - and since then I am down 25 lbs and am in my 6th smaller sized body magic! (that's ten inches!) I had pretty much plateaued at the time I started wearing it - so I give it props for helping me get through the stagnant time....as well as shaping me so I feel better in clothes! I still weigh a bit more than when I got married, but am in a smaller sized clothes b/c of the shaping it has done. I love it.

My website is www.ardysslife.com/figuresforfamilies and you can check out the garment there....the prices on there are retail, though, so if you are interested please PM me and I can order for you at the wholesale price, stright to your door. (for example the body magic is $84 plus taxes, shipping and handling) I know it sounds like a sales pitch...which isn't really me at all, I just totally believe in thsi product as it has helped me and a lot of my friends SO much. I became a distributor so my friends, family and i could get the products at a cheaper price....and I am happy to help others do so as well! just give me a holler!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
