I had my 2nd fill today - an additional 1cc, so I'm totally 3cc's in a 10cc band. I just drank some Water, it went down fine, but it feel like it was gurgling in my stomach? Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?

Thats how it felt for me right after I got my band...Sounds like you got a good fill.

I get that feeling when I have a lot of restriction and the Water is "funnelling" through the Band.

I have had this since my last fill in August. It even happens when I am 'full', I think that is air. It has gotten a little worse since being back to teaching. I think it is the air from all the talking. LOL I feel like everyone can hear it.

Had this for two days after my last fill and now I have good restriction. It was trapped air.

I got my fill of 3 ccs yesterday and currently have 6 ccs in total now. My stomach is gurgglig and I feel weird. I hope this feeling goes away.

I was supposed to get 2 ccs not 3 but my port is partially flipped and he did more of a fill since it is not easy to fill now.

I gurgle all the time! It started after my first fill and would only be a short little one after I drank something. After my 2nd fill, it happens all the time, even when I eat something!!! It's a little embarrassing if I'm in a quiet room with other people (not too often). Who cares - small trade off in my book - just a reminder that the band is working!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
