babyk 1 Posted September 20, 2010 So my surgery date is approaching very quickly! It is weird to think that 1 week from now I will be in surgery! My surgery is next Monday, September 27th! I am so nervous, scared, excited, anxious, and every other emotion that there is. On Wednesday I go in for "Pre-Op Day" I was told that I will be there all day....What is going to happen? What do they do during this time? Thanks :]
vlp1968 83 Posted September 20, 2010 Wow- all day is a long time. I had 2 different type of preops- one was at the hospital where they took blood, checked vitals, made sure my pcp had sent everything in they were suppossed to and did a chest x-ray. I also had a few hours of a preop class. They went over what to expect on surgery day and the first couple weeks after.

spoiltmom 44 Posted September 20, 2010 My pre op was just a quick chat with the doctor to ask any last minute questions and then I went to the hospital for blood work, EKG and paperwork. Good Luck!!
