ashbe925 0 Posted September 19, 2010 Okay, I have a question... I was banded Aug 30 and had a 4 ml fill on 9/14. Before my fill I really did not feel hungry at all, but now that I have had a fill, I am hungry frequently. I was told to only have 1/2 cup of mushy foods 3x/day and a snack if I am hungry. By doing this, I am only getting in around 700-800 calories. I am still feeling hungry while following this. Is it ok to add another snack? Is the 1/2 cup thing because that is what my pouch should hold? Thanks so much for your help!
stefaniwg 172 Posted September 19, 2010 I was also more hungry after my first fill than I was prior to having one. I am not sure why this happens so if someone knows why I would really like to know. I go for my 2nd fill on the 22nd and I hope this doesn't happen again.
BeachBabe 0 Posted September 20, 2010 You need to be on mushies so you do not over fill your pouch and split your stiches adhering your band to your stomach. You are what you eat so if you are eating high protien mushies and still drinking protien shakes, Soups, and juices you will not be hungry. If you are putting fluff with no nutrition in your body you will be more hungry. I have not maxed out 900 calories since I started and I am rarely hungry since I am careful to eat a lot of Protein. I literally eat Protein mushies all day and I'm still hungry
