craigmorganfan 0 Posted September 19, 2010 I had my lapband July 22,,,What medicines can I take for my allergies? I called my doctor's office and they said "PRETTY MUCH ANY OVER THE COUNTER MEDICINE".....just wanted to see what you all take and what does the best......I would prefer liquid, ,,like cough Syrup stuff,,,but,,,I don't want anything that will hurt the band or aggravate it....Thanks! Blaze21 5 Posted September 19, 2010 Benedryl makes a liquid. I've never had it before though. I've taken it in pill form without any problems.
KAS1971 0 Posted September 19, 2010 what did you take before your band? Benedryl personally knocks me on my butt, but almost everything is OTC now, Claritin, Allegra etc .. ask the pharmacist for suggestions

spoiltmom 44 Posted September 20, 2010 I've taken Zyrtec daily for years now. It's a small pill and I even took it 1 day post op. It won't hurt anything and it won't make you sleepy.
jingleboob 5 Posted September 20, 2010 zyrtec here too. works better than the claritin for me. I go to BJ's (wholesale club) where the generic is $15 for 300 pills!!! Everyone in the house takes it so we save a ton buying it there... actually, in 1 month we save enough on it to justify the yearly membership fee
Shay7997 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Zyrtec and hoping to switch to allegra-D if my OB will let me.
