KimmyTx 0 Posted September 16, 2010 I'm a teacher and yesterday we had a meeting in a room full of student desks. My old "fat" mentality kicked in and I momentarily panicked at how embarrassed I would be to have to search for a chair since there was no way I was gonna fit into a student desk. Then I remembered I wasn't "as fat" anymore, so I went for it and, lo and behold, I fit into it with ease. What a difference 60+ pounds makes. Imagine my delight! Noturningback15 45 Posted September 16, 2010 That's awesome! I felt that way went I went to the movies last month. I didn't have to worry about not fitting for the first time since I was a teenager!
Gigee 0 Posted September 16, 2010 Congrats! That's a great NSV! That's how I felt the first time I was able to slide (that's right I said slide as opposed to squeeze) in a booth at my favorite restaurant.

cwm812 11 Posted September 16, 2010 Congratulations! As a formerly fat parent, those desks used to scare the hell out of me at parent-teacher conferences! Cindy
gingerjane 5 Posted September 16, 2010 Whoo hoo!!!! It's so funny how we have to mentally change our thinking. I was on a plane two weeks ago and I was panicking about the seatbelt and how much I was going to crush the person next to me and it fit with ease and had slack! Now I'm curious to see how rides at an amusement park will go. It's sort of sad the things we deal with as "fat people". :alien:
