I finally got approval!!!!!

I started this long journey on March 20th and now I am approved!!!!!!!!! :)

My surgeon's office called me right after I had just talked to Cigna about 30 min earlier. Cigna told me the paperwork was still in the nurse review phase and to call back to check the status on Friday :unsure:. Then the phone rings and I get approved!!!!! :crying:

I have to go to a class on the 27th and get my Optifast shakes. Then I'll be banded on Oct. 12th!!

WOO HOO!!!!!!:lol:

Go Lacrecia! Get busy! (doing a little dance) :smile:

So happy for you...I have my date of October 6th, all papers were submitted, now I just wait. I am pretty sure that they will approve me, but it sucks waiting for the yes to come through! So happy for you! Good luck, and if you are looking for a good shake, try nectar shakes by Syntrax....that is what I use and they rock!

Congrats girl! I received my approval last Friday and a weight was definitely lifted off my shoulders.

My surgery date is one day before yours! Go us!! :unsure:

I can't believe how much better I feel since I got my date. We will have to compare notes since we are one day apart. Does your doctor make his patients do the liquid diet before surgery?

Congratulations! I can not wait to "Do a little dance." My paperwork has been sent to BC/BS yesterday..I am so excited, a little apprehensive because of the insurance wait..Praying for quick news..I will follow your process and look forward to reading about your success!

I have been trying to post something and I just don't no where to , so I will just ask my question on here if u don't mine, does every one on here use 1800 Get slim...congrats On your date, I am really trying to get there... Please if someone can tell me how to put a new post and where would be really nice .

Your paperwork will be approved before you know it. I can't lie and say the waiting didn't kill me, but now I can't believe the time has already passed. Please let us know as soon as you are approved. Then maybe we can be October bandsters together!!! :unsure:

Yep! I'll start my one week all clear liquid diet (broth, SF Jello, SF popsicles) ... basically nothing tasty. :] :wub:

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
