kentx05 3 Posted September 11, 2010 It's the first time and I'm feeling the pain really bad in my tummy. It feels like that constipated pain you get when you haven't gone for like a week but of course I'm not constipated. Is there any way to make the pain go away fast? Please, I'm dying over here. kentx05 3 Posted September 11, 2010 Walk it off....04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01 Seriously? That's all I can do, walk it off? That's what I'm doing right now. How long will this last? I ate 3/4 of a pancake like a dummy. Never again, never again!!!!
zeniada 9 Posted September 11, 2010 Aside from throwing it up that's the only thing i can think of... I know that today I had some sushi and I got too full and the only thing I could do was wait it out...I felt that sushi was mushy enough to eat but I think I was wrong...Sorry you feel bad but I think we all go through it so we can learn what to eat and how much to eat...Good luck hope you feel better soon... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.

BeachBabe 0 Posted September 11, 2010 I would drink a lot of Water to wash it down. I ate guacamole and tortilla Soup (without the tortilla) tonight at Chevy's and I was really uncomfortable even though they were technically mushies. I drank water when I got home and felt better. It washed down. I am not letting my family take me out to eat anymore....or bring home ice cream. We all learn lessons.
CantB2noty 0 Posted September 11, 2010 Sometimes a drink of soda with fizz can cause an airbubble under the food and make you pb. But I find tremendous relief in laying on the floor and arching my back up off the floor. This stretches everything out and can give me enough push to make the food move... elcee 3,342 Posted September 11, 2010 I haven't had stomach pain from overeating since being banded. If I overeat it hurst much higher up - where the band is. Just wondering how you can feel the pain in your stomach as normally the band lets you know before you get to that point.
Melissannde 41 Posted September 11, 2010 A warm shower or SIPPING hot tea sometimes helps me.
kentx05 3 Posted September 11, 2010 Thanks everybody. I'm feeling much better today. Never again will I try eat pancakes. I didn't know it would be like bread in my stomach. I was fine until I got home 30 min laters and drank some Water. Then it was utter pain for 2 hours. It decreased once I began to stay on my feel. I didn't know pancakes could do that. I ate about 3/4 of one which I never do. I've stuck to my post op and now first fill diet to the max. Just one hiccup that I don't plan on testing again. jalomum 1 Posted September 11, 2010 It was probably the drink on top of the pancake that caused the pain. Backed up your plumbing and couldn't get through. Your oesophagus is not meant to have stuff sitting in it, that causes pain :-( Welcome to the steep part of the learning curve!!
CantB2noty 0 Posted September 13, 2010 I can only eat pancakes that are really thin and slightly crispier than normal, or crepes are fine for me. Cornmeal pancakes or buckwheat pancakes are not a problem for me. And god bless america for sugar free pancake syrup! lol You will learn over time if your band is too tight to allow any type of bread product type things for that day. It took me about 6 months to learn to know this. Its just a tight sensation in my tummy, not pain, just a tightness. Those are the days I know Buster is gonna give me problems if I eat anything other Protein and some veggies. I still cant eat potatoes or rice. But sometimes I can tolerate a few french fries or hashbrowns. But I can eat sweet potato fries with no problems.
ElfiePoo 109 Posted September 13, 2010 Zen, I love sushi but found it's too fibrous for me.
jingleboob 5 Posted September 13, 2010 I just started "real" food on Friday and we had pancakes over the weekend... our 11 year old made them (and made gorgeous pancakes... I'm quite proud) and I had about 3/4 of one and knew instantly it was a mistake. PB, slime, all of it... hurt all day long. Friggin pancakes!!!
stargate713 0 Posted September 13, 2010 pancakes are rough...i think they get gummed up in there...lol. Generally drinking something when you are stuck makes things worse.
