This is the kind of post that I was looking for today. The last two days I have felt completely bloated and feeling gas built up, but nothing. I am going to try tomorrow to go on liquids for a couple of days to see if that will help. I am just completely miserable. The feeling is below my band on down.

Hope it gets better for you.

Oh my goodness, I am feeling the pain with yall. Literally. I was banded 4/29/10 and for the past week have been getting so bloated, gassy and boy it hurts.

I am drinking some bigelow mint medley tea right now because while I was pregnant it helped calm my stomach. I am not sure what the problem is because I am not doing anything different then I have been all along.

I do not like this at all. I am thinking that I may start taking beano to try and cut it off before it starts. :(

I am 5 months out and have been going through the same thing the last 3 weeks. My stomach is hard as a rock. I hae been running on the treadmill and during the runs and afterwards it seems my body is getting rid of the gas build up, but otherwise I retain it.

This is bad to say, but I am glad I am not alone. I am just feeling so full but my stomach keeps telling me "I'm hungry". I was banded on 3/29/10 and am not liking this at all. I too have not done anything different. But for some reason I have put on 4 lbs in the last two days (think it is all gas).

Sounds like you may need a fill....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
