honk 780 Posted September 7, 2010 I am at the mushie stage and my doctor says 3 oz of Protein per meal. I found that 1/2 cup egg beaters and 1/8 cup low fat cottage cheese made 3oz. I don't feel it fills me up as much as 3 oz of shredded chicken made with non fat yogurt.
reverie 49 Posted September 7, 2010 When I used to eat eggs I'd have 2 of them. Since then I've stopped eating them just because the cholesterol in them is insane. I use Egg Beaters now or just plain egg whites; usually 1/4-1/2 cup.
rocketray 0 Posted September 7, 2010 If I go out to Breakfast, I'll have two poached eggs and one slice of dry whole wheat toast and I'm satisfied. If I'm home, I'll do two egg whites and one egg with a little milk. Eat slowly though!!
trishfish 1 Posted September 8, 2010 i make one egg and and about three tbs of milk. some days i can eat it all, other days i can only eat about half of it. I am doing the p90x workout program and i laughed when i was reading their diet plan...6 egg white omlet with veggies and cheese...that would feed me for the whole day i think...haha
Beachbunny 5 Posted September 8, 2010 How many scrambled eggs can you/should you eat at a sitting? I was told 1 egg, reason being ...its the size of your new stomache.
Angera 2 Posted September 8, 2010 i've only been eating one egg at breakfast time, however I've been adding 1/2 slice of cheese to it to change it up, but i noticed it's not agreeing with my stomach anymore. my nutrionist said three strikes and it's out................i've hit my fourth strike......sadness I hope it's the cheese and not the eggs, i love eggs! dm5201 1 Posted September 8, 2010 I do two to three eggs. Two eggs is usually enough for me and that's if I can get it all down. There are times that I have been really hungry and prepared three eggs, but felt so stuffed.
Catherine55 43 Posted September 8, 2010 It depends -- but usually, I just have one egg if I'm scrambling. Catherine
elcee 3,341 Posted September 8, 2010 I eat 1 egg - poached on 1 slice of wholemeal toast.
ElfiePoo 109 Posted September 11, 2010 Before band, I would eat 2. After band, only 1...assuming my band would let me eat even that. Most mornings I'm so tight I can only manage a Protein Drink.< /p>
kellyodoran 12 Posted September 12, 2010 I was told 1 egg, reason being ...its the size of your new stomache. beachbunny like even with my first I could still eat three eggs....I stay away, am happier with cottage cheese (fat-free) maybe some salsa in it or yogurt mixed. I realize that I won't be eating this long term because it is fairly soft, but then so are eggs.< /span>
Melissannde 41 Posted September 12, 2010 How many scrambled eggs can you/should you eat at a sitting? When I fix scrambled eggs, it's usually 1 eggland's best egg and 1/4 cup egg white mixed together. I also throw in a tiny bit of mushrooms and a tiny bit of spinach and 1tbspn real bacon bits (not those baco's junk). That's usually very filling for me. kellyodoran 12 Posted September 17, 2010 Now that I have my first fill, and I'm on solids, since I'm low carbing I get to eat (for breakfast) small hamburger patty, slice of cheddar, and a fried egg...yum, yum keeps me full till dinner. 59 grams of Protein and 2 carbs:cool:! ~Kelly~
