I'm sure you have tried the following but i'll tell you what I do. I walk (alot), reach for the top ot a door frame and ssttrreettcchh....and while stretching I take deeeeep breaths. and I also try a few papya enzymes. and if you still can't get it to pass, bend over and cough till it comes out. make sure you do a day or two of liquids either way...good luck!!

How weird....I also had steak tonight. Took 2 bites and I was stuck for about 15 minutes or so....and I actually threw up. Throwing up was a first for me...but boy what relief!! I skipped out on my steak and had a Peanut Butter sandwich! Being stuck like that is not a pleasant feeling!!! Glad I was in my own home....

I read in a thread before and has worked every time for me. Cluck your left arm like a chicken! Seriously, put your left hand under your armpit and move your elbow/arm up and down like a chicken. Today I was a little stuck and swear I heard the piece "pop" out from the band to the lower stomach. Good luck.

Thanks banders...Well its lasted for about 3 hours...It is back to liquids today as I know it is tight and swollen. I ended up having the dry heaves which made my stomach swell..I can feel it.....Even Water is a little tough going down this morning......So i won't do anything but proteinshakes and liquids for the rest of the day....Thanks

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
