Wimic 1 Posted August 31, 2010 Hey everyone! Was banded a week or so ago and 4 out of 5 of my incisions are healing well and are giving me virtually no pain any more. There's one, however, which is located furthest to my right hand side which is still hurting. It feels like the skin is pulling tight when I sit down or wear fitted pants. Just wondering if this is normal or if anyone else has experienced this. It's not bleeding or anything, it's just causing a lot more discomfort than the rest of the incisions. There's a lot of bruising around it too. I was thinking that it might be the largest port where they actually insert the lapband device. I could be totally wrong... any ideas? clohse 0 Posted August 31, 2010 My surgery was Aug 13th and I still have one place that 'tugs' the new scar depending on how I move. I've found that if I use regular bandaids to sort of hold the skin together that feeling is really minimized. My clothes were irritating, too, especially bras! The port site was sore for longer than the rest, and still aches if I am tired or have moved around more than usual.
reverie 49 Posted August 31, 2010 It's where your port is located and it'll hurt for awhile. Mine still gives me a little reminder when I move the wrong way or bump into something. It will get better! Try to use a warm compress to ease the discomfort.
