I have to be honest with myself and my lapband family. I have been cheating for the last 2 weeks and it shows, I started working out and I found my appetite increased from where it was which would not be a problem if i ate the correct foods but my sweet tooth got the best of me and the double chocolate chip Cookies from wholefoods became by vice. I have now put back on 7lbs eating junk oh and i justified by saying well I'm working out and it muscle weight (just lying to myself I know) so I decided to come clean and make a new start today so I can move on. So now that I told on myself I feel better. Thanks for listening.

Hi Photoman,

Kudos to you!!! Being honest with yourself is the first step to overcoming obstacles!! I admire you for coming on here and admitting that you have made some mistakes, even though it is tempting to blame it on muscle gain..Grin! I have been there too hehehe :cursing:

It is okay that you have gotten off track, everyone does. If you have to look on the bright side of all of this, imagine how many pounds would been added if you hadn't been working out!!

Now that you have acknowledged that you have made these errors, go forward and start again. :smile2: Today is a new day!

Good luck!

Today is a new day! YOu can always fix what you have done wrong. You should go back t doing a protien diet for a week (shakes and broths) and lose the 7 pounds and start not allowing yourself carbs. Go back to the basics. It is great you admitted to cheating and you are half way there to feel better. Now focus and don't let yourself give excuses about work. Keep your chin up and move on!!:cursing:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
