Plastic in my lean cuisine!

Recommended Posts

You know how little we eat anyway. Well who wants plastic in there food!!!

I made myself the Stoffers chicken Enchilada Suisa fr diner tonight.

My bits aren't that bag but they are not tinny either.

As I'm eating this I see what looks like an onion. I did think that was kind of wierd. I pulled the onion out only to find out that it was a THICKER piece of plastic.

I have no idea if it was my nerves or not but I still feel like I have something stuck in my throat. I tried drinking hot tea, Water and some crackers. It feels better, but still there.

I called Stoffers and guess what they are sending me more coupons for more plastic!! I could care less about the free meals! I'm just conserned about my band and how this piece of plastic is going to go through!!!!

That's nasty Dianne! Must be in the air....last week my husband fixed my son a packet of hot chocolate. After 2 sips he looks down and realizes there are 15 dead tiny ants floating in the cup!!! The packet was never opened so it must have happened at the factory. I know the cup didn't have any ants, it had just come out of the dishwasher. I wrote to Nestle, guess what I'm getting.....like you.....coupons for more dead ants!

I hope you are feeling better. Maybe your head is messing with your body. I don't know why, but sometimes just the thought that you might have swallowed something you shouldn't gives you the creeps.

Hope all is ok with you and your band and that you didn't swallow and plastic.

I do have to say though,...

Another notch in the belt for the frozen dinner saga!

I was 4 months pregnant when I was at work and heated up my

HEALTHY CHOICE dinner and sat down to eat, the whole breakroom was full. I was told my eyes were like saucers and my face went pale white.

Kyle one of the employees was sitting across from me and said "what?"

Low and behold... was a COCK ROACH! Antennas and all. Talk about adding to my nausea I already had!

And guess what they wanted to send me......

Yep you guessed it more cock roaches.

I complained and complained and threatened and still was told "We are sorry mam but all we can send you is a refund and coupons for free Healthy Choice in the future.

I told her to send my refund and keep the coupons for herself and that I would let everyone I could know of the little critter I found in their meal. To this day I have done just that every time I am picking out a Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine and someone is next to me at the frozen isle, looking at a Healthy Choice meal, I show them which dinner had a FREE GUEST included in the entree!

Sorry to have grossed anyone out, but I just had to share my story with you.

Sorry about your misfortune!

Schel

I'm not kidding you...I think I had a piece of plastic in the Lean Cuisine chicken Enchilada a few years back!! I also remember something funky with a Healthy Choice product -- not as gross as a cockroach. And, I had a bone in some StarKist boneless albacore tuna not too long ago. I guess these things happen, but they can do better than coupons!

Hope the plastic wasn't too disruptive on your band -- or elsewhere. :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
