MR P 0 Posted August 25, 2010 I am pre-op for Lap-Band awaiting final approval from my insurance company. My concern is dealing with the holidays. Since I am telling as few people as possible that I am having the procedure, it would look very strange to sit at the Thanksgiving table on liquids only. When I mentioned scheduling to the doctor and that I may want to wait until after the 1st of Jan, he laughed and said there is plenty of time. However, that was July and I understand that he is scheduling procedures into October. How much time should I allow from the time of the procedure to the time when I am back on solid foods? I am guesstimating that it would be about five weeks. How did the holidays impact your eating? Thanks!
PuppyBandit 2 Posted August 26, 2010 I'm curious about the holidays too. My surgery is scheduled for Oct 5th and I think I'll go to the casino for thanksgiving lol. Or a pumpkin pie smoothie hehe My family does finger food and punch for christmas, so I think I'll be ok for that.
