Its a serious question.. I swear..

For the larger or even smaller chested woman. Have any of you found it difficult to wear a underwire bra after surgery?

Underwires have been the only thing I wear and now since surgery I am finding it VERY uncomfortable maybe even painful to wear one. Maybe cause it is pushing down on my breast bone and the band lies right below?

Just give it a little more time. I was able to go back to underwires about 2 months post op.

Yes, I am a 40DD; I was "bra-less" during my hospital stay. Boy did I wish someone had told me not to pack an underwire bra with my going home outfit. Once I got home I put on a sports bra and have been in haven since.

I wore an underwire bra home from the hospital and have done ever since with no discomfort.

Me too! Make sure it still fits right. If mine are getting too loose, it is uncomfortable. But only then..

I too am a 38-40DD and wish someone would have told me not to bring an underwire bra to the hospital, however, mine is because of my one incision, nothing else. It was bad for the first week or two, but it gets better. I have no problems now

I ended up getting some new ones where the wire just didn't have as much pressure in the middle, and that helped a lot. Now 3 months later it isn't an issue so it should get better!

I am so glad this thread is on here!! I go in for surgery in 2 days and all I own is underwire. Now I know to pack something different to come home in. Thanks girls!

P.S. Love the "sling shot" image....that's too funny!:(

I wore a sports bra for about a week, then it was back to the underwire. I can not go without the underwire and yes, I too am a sling shot girl when I get home.

Love it!

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
