I am the same way. I am very restricted in the morning and then by the time the evening rolls around, I am able to eat more.

I am the exact same way. I can't eat anything in the morning, by lunch I can eat 1/2 to 1 cup of food. dinner I eat about a cup. After 9:00 pm I can eat anything and way to much, and just don't seem to get full.

I can't eat at all in the morning. Of course like a MORON I keep trying, and after a few bites of anything get the golf ball in my chest. I definitely open up as the day progresses but fortunately I always have restriction.

I have been like that from the start...I cant really eat in the morning, I can eat a little at lunch, alot more at dinner and then I have to fight not to eat until I go to bed. I have trouble eating bread at anytime except late at night so I know I am definately less restricted after about 7pm.

My doctor, Dr. Kuri, told me to eat my biggest meal for lunch and have a light dinner. What happens is after eating a larger meal at night you swell a bit, causing you to be more restricted in the morning and early afternoon.

I know, I know you can't eat that much at lunch time. Well, if you do full liquids tomorrow, you should be able to eat a larger lunch the next day.

Try it for a couple of days before giving up on it - it sure has helped me to not be so hungry at night.

**Also, drink a full glass of Water about an hour before you lay down at night so your pouch is completely empty. I've read that our pouches aren't supposed to hold food over night - it can cause swelling.

I hope it works for ya'll. I had relearn & reapply last week. I was having the same problems.

Good Luck to all!

Yep, me too. I decided to start eating lunch a little later in the day so that I won't be tempted to eat in the evening. So far I've been getting by with not eating anything after 6PM unless it's yogurt. That has helped me be able to eat something for Breakfast as well because I don't go to bed with a half full pouch of food that won't pass through when laying down.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
