SacChick1980 0 Posted August 20, 2010 Hi ladies! I know ive seen threads about this before, but now that I want one, i cant find any! Im 3 1/2 weeks post-op and noticed in tonights shower that i pulled out gobs of hair while washing. I have lots of really thick long hair, so its typical I lose a lot in the shower but tonight was about twice the typical amount. How soon did any of you start noticing some Hair loss, and how long before you noticed an end to it (if ever?)
ICUnurserachel 17 Posted August 20, 2010 You will notice more hair in the shower from now on. This is normal. Make sure you are taking your Multivitamins and getting all your Protein in. Don't worry, you won't go bald. If you starting going bald or getting bald spots you need to see your doc asap! Your hair will thin some because of the surgery. galthom 0 Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) hair can be lost to improper care and damage. Bathing is one of the routine activities that can lead to normal hair loss for an individual. However, some people start experiencing more hairs in the drain after finishing the bath. Some parts of the world have hard Water supply and this can lead to enhanced rate of Hair loss among people living in these areas. Edited September 22, 2010 by galthom
gingerjane 5 Posted September 21, 2010 I was experiencing a lot of hair loss and I started taking Biotin in addition to making sure I get my Protein and Multivitamin and I think (hope) it has slowed down some. I was freaking out when I first noticed it because I have always had really thick hair. I would recommend getting Biotin supplements and I think there is something called Nioxin you can try from beauty supply stores. I'm still waiting on my soon-to-be niece to get me some. cheryl2586 3,053 Posted October 16, 2010 I was having Hair loss and started taking hair skin and nails it stopped but also if you are not eating enough Protein that will cause hair loss big time. If your not getting it enough in food you need to supplement with Protein Shakes I would suggest GNC protein powder with whey isolates not for body building people get that wrong we dont want to build muscle we just need the protein.
