PianoLady 0 Posted August 16, 2010 I had my first fill on 8-7-2010, but so far I feel very little restriction. I read that it sometimes takes two weeks to feel restriction after a fill. Why would it take so long?
sherrilyn 0 Posted August 17, 2010 I was banded on 3/29 and have had 3 fills since my surgery. I feel a little restriction however I am hoping that my next fill on 9/2 I will finally feel something. I am starting to get paranoid because other people immediately feel something. Good Luck to you!
PianoLady 0 Posted August 17, 2010 Good Luck to you to. My daughter had the same surgery last year and she didn't feel restriction until the 4th fill, so I guess that is normal. I'm just wondering why it would take two weeks to feel any restriction after a fill. Seems like it would be immediate.
Nicole74 4 Posted October 5, 2010 I did some research on that and I read anywhere from just different stomachs in each person to the fact that the Fluid stays in the cord and takes a few days or weeks to get into the band..but not sure. After my 1st fill I was hoping Id feel it later since I didnt have immediate restriction but I didnt...I cant wait for my 2nd fill in a couple weeks..hopefully will have restriction. PianoLady 0 Posted October 5, 2010 I am going for my 3rd fill this coming Saturday, but something wonderful has happened. I am starting to feel some restriction! I had my second fill 3 weeks ago (total of 3.6 cc's) and I just started feeling restriction from that fill this week. Fills works in strange and wonderous ways. LoL Seriously I am happy, but I am still going for my 3rd fill because it is just light restriction. Thanks for your input.
Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted January 27, 2011 We've received one common request over the last year+ from members on LapBandTalk who've undergone or are interested in the Realize® Band procedure: An online community they can call their own. Log in now to join the REALIZE Band community and become one of our founding members! Wondering if Realize® Band is the right choice for you? Looking for information and community after your Realize Band Surgery? Look no further. You'll find everything you need at RealizeBandSupport.com . I started LapBandTalk the night I came home from surgery mid July 2003. Following my own Lap-Band® procedure, I was looking for information and community support. I came across a few helpful web sites, but they all lacked a sense of actually belonging to a group of people who share many similarities, struggles and habits. After years of researching and reaching out to the community, we've been able to build the most comprehensive online resources for all types of Weight Loss Surgeries. Hundreds of thousands of registered members contribute amazing stories and useful information to our pages.
