Who are the MALES in here

Recommended Posts

I'm curious, casue I have some (male only) questions that I wanted to ask, and did not feel comfortable posting it outloud.

So, Magic, did you get your questions answered? Just wonderin'.

Unless his question was "Which guys on this forum are the hottest", I suppose Magic's questions have gone unanswered.

I'm kinda wondering what constitutes male only questions when it comes to WLS - Us men are an uncomplicated bunch at the best of times.

The only male-specific thing that's happened to me since I was banded is...

I can now see my er... "manhood" (before, it was obsured by my stomach). I was aware that it was there, prior to the operation, but only by using a system of Braille! :(

(sorry for bring the conversation down a peg-or-two)

Here's a man issue...

I miss beer. Carbonation is a nono according to my doc, and the thought of a flat beer is, well... not good.

Also, since I am yet to be a month post-surgery, I find that some physical labor (like putting up the x-mas lights) makes my abdomen hurt, not just where my port is, but my whole abdomen is sore. Maybe it is from stretching to do the lights.

Lastly, guys, have you noticed an increase in your state of... you know... physical interest, and blood flow to a certain part of your annatomy?

Yes, I have. I think that's my blood pressure coming-down - it affects the effectiveness of an erection, apparently.

That's nice you can use braille to figure out your anatomy, pretty interesting! :(

Well, I don't need to know I've got my sight back (i.e. there's nothing obscuring my view) :(

I just want to say for the record that I LOVE this thread!

And Pianoman! Glad that things have "come into focus" so to speak. That is a VERY good thing IMHO.

Just want to let you know that since you feel more, if there is a recipient on the other end, she can feel more also. Woohoo 2 for 1.

I can't speak for the other guys, but the site of me in a pair of speedos isn't something you'd want to see, I can promise you that(!)

RIGHT ON BROTHERSSSSS

I'm very happy to see that we are not a minority in here as I thought. However, we are a silent community.

the_best_me: About my question, I would've asked if ladies didn't flood this thread. Nevertheless you ladies are welcomed DAY or NIGHT :(

Heck, I wouldn't even imagine myself living and going if it wasn't for ladies:) Love'm all

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
