Get the Leslie Sansone ones, they are great and easier to do then all those fancy ones. I love her videos and feel really worked out afterwards.

To the poster that asked about P90X . That set is very difficult and I believe for seasoned exercisers.

I would love to exercise 2x a day . I want to get this weight off ASAP within reason.

I think I'll start out slow though with the Leslie Sansone DVDs in 1 session and a little treadmill walk for the 2nd session to get my body used to exercising again and then step it up later with the many other sets I have.

Well just a post,

ummmmmmm, yeah I'm hungry, but I have filled my house with low calorie, low fat, fat free, what ever I can find! So when I have a melt down of hunger (ggggrrrrrrr) I now reach for cantaloup? Only 55 calories per 1 cup. Or I have a big tub of ricotta that i can stand in the kitchen with a spoon and nibble out tiny spoonfulls, doesn't matter though at 50 calories per 1/4 cup I'm fine. I just really think we have to be in it to win it (I know really corny), but it is true! I know my positive atitude will get me through! Really it is the one true shining quality I have. Well maybe not the one.....I am witty, funny, smart, and pretty cool (if I do say so myself) yuk, yuk...."I don't know the key to success, but I know the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Bill Cosby (1937-)

Peace out everyone

Kelly:rolleyes:

I was just banded on yesterday. Things are going pretty well. No major issues with gas, every now and then though, I feel the pain from my navel site.

I appreciate all of your posts. It's funny how everyone's doctor is different as far as post-ops foods. I'm surviving on the usual liquids, but a small bowl of grits sounds really yummy right now.

that's strange they usually ask you if you feel ok enough to go home....what time did you go in for surgery? i only went home the same day because i hate staying in a hospital and i felt ok enough to leave....my surgery was at 10am and i check out at 9pm.....made a last minute decision to go home instead of staying over night....

Congrats on being banded . It is funny how everyones Dr's have different diets but your new pouch needs time to heal so just rest and savor your broth and Jello and popsicles :scared2: On my stage 1 liquid diet I can have grits, or cream of wheat. I hate grits so if you just feel like your gonna break down call your Dr and ask if you can have some real creamy , liquidy grits he may say yes.

Congrats and take care of yourself. First time I ever heard anyone say they wanted to stay extra in the hospital!!

I hate hospitals too and I wanted to come home the same day but now that I look back the hospital was nice and clean and comfy and I'm glad I stayed but when discharge time came I couldn't get out of there quick enough and back home to my hot shower and comfy king size bed...ummmm!!

I was starting to get worried I wasn't losing any weight since surgery. Well, I drop 2 pounds finally. I guess going up and down stairs moving my daughter in her apartment paid off. lol.

Exercise and liquid diet means losing weight-then its time to get off the couch and start walking now. YEAH!!

Had my first fill today. That was a riot. It was really cool watching them do it. I was told that I had somewhere between 3-4 cc of saline put in my band. Had a hard time swallowing at first, but it got easier. Go back on Sept. 21 for my second fill. I can start eating whatever I want on Thursday. Have to do liquids today, pureed tomorrow, soft foods on Wednesday, and whatever I can tolerate on Thursday.

Lost 4 pounds since my post-op visit, and I was told that was great. I wasn't thrilled with it, but found out that when you start introducing solids back into your diet, that you can expect to gain a few pounds.

Saw a lady that had come in for an unfill, and in 5 months had lost 70 pounds. She looked fantastic. She said that she went from a size 22 to a size 6. Talk about motivation. I know for a fact that I can do this.

Hope everybody is doing good.

Day 3 Post-Op and all is well. No major issues at all. However, I am STARVING. Having a soft scrambled egg right now would taste like steak. However, doctor's office said NOT YET.

I am really struggling. The 1 motivator, I've lost 10 lbs since Friday's surgery. I know it's because I'm starving, but still seeing the scale go in the opposite direction is a very welcomed changed !!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
