Sue Magoo 71 Posted August 9, 2010 Hi folks: I got my new band on 7/20, so three weeks ago tomorrow. I'm still struggling with the fatigue. When I got my first band I didn't have this kind of fatigue. I am looking for suggestions on how to break this cycle of fatigue. Please offer suggestions. Thanks. elcee 3,341 Posted August 9, 2010 Wish I could help. Maybe the problem is just that you are a little bit older than last time and not able to bounce back as easily. Maybe your dr can prescribe some kind of tonic to give you a boost. Hope it all gets better soon.
Cherishthepast 20 Posted August 9, 2010 When I made the same complaint to my dr, he suggested over the counter B12 tablets - They helped.
dman3998 0 Posted August 9, 2010 You didn't say what your diet was but I felt wiped out for the first 2 weeks on Soup and liquids. On week 3, I started major Protein and perked right up. May not have been related but seemed to correlate.
Merrywood 0 Posted August 9, 2010 I'm with Dman. I hate the Protein Shakes, but I've been working to get those down as they definitely help with the fatigue. When I get bored with the Protein and go to Popsicles and Jello, I might as well lie down and take a nap all day.
wanna.bslim 0 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) Try homemade chicken Soup WITH chicken meat. REAL Protein not the powder stuff ( i've tried it) I was banded 7/27, and just had that soup, make sure you chew the chicken until it feels like puree. Sue Magoo 71 Posted August 10, 2010 Thanks everyone. I increased my Protein and calories today and added a B12 Vitamin on top of my daily Multi-Vitamin. It's the first night I didn't have to lay down for 3 hours after work. Thanks for all of your feedback! Sue
