spoiltmom 44 Posted August 9, 2010 When I went for my pre op appt the doc asked me if I was wanting the Band or the Gastric Sleeve. I said definitely the band. He said they offered both. Then today in my local newspaper they ran an article about a lady who received the FIRST gastric sleeve in my area just a month ago. She's doing great and the article went on to say that WLS is NOT a miracle or a quick fix and that you still have to work at diet and exercise. I was glad they pointed that out. My FIL thinks I'm crazy and I've taken an easy out here.

girlbanded 0 Posted September 15, 2010 This is in NO way an easy way out. We still have to work at making healthy choices, eating correctly and exercising. I've not told alot of people, for that reason. We do this for us, to be healthy and ultimately, loose weight. Good luck.
