aSpen 0 Posted August 9, 2010 Just wanted to let everyone know that Gallbladder stones during pregnancy are extremely common...especially with significant amounts of weight lose prior to becoming pregnant..so if your having unknown pains that may be the cause and some ob's don't always catch it..if it ruptures it can harm your baby and you... I was having pains under my right breast and was told it was heart burn or acid reflux, well needless to say when I went in for an ultrasound I asked the tech to check my Gallbladder and sure enough I have a large amount of stones.. It is the 2nd most common condition in pregnancy to heartburn..which I didn't know.. Just thought I would throw this out there, I did a lot of research about Gallstones because I knew I did not have acid reflux or heartburn..I tried every type of medication out there to help relieve the pain and attacks and nothing helped..now about 4 weeks after I give birth I will have to have it taken out.. Hope no one comes across these pains but please if you are talk to your ob dr and take care of the problem before it gets out of hand...hope this helps some of you.. Took these symptoms from a website: Steady pain in the upper abdomen that increases rapidly and lasts 30 minutes to several hours Pain in the back between the shoulder blades Pain under the right shoulder Nausea or vomiting Abdominal bloating Recurring intolerance of fatty foods Belching Gas and indigestion Extreme symptoms Sweating Chills Low-grade fever Yellowish skin or whites of eyes Clay-colored stools
